Vacation and Travel in Kentucky
There are so many fun and exciting things to do when traveling in the state of Kentucky. The sights and attractions there really are numerous. Five of the most popular places to visit while on vacation in the area are Newport Aquarium, Louisville Zoo, Mammoth Cave National Park, Frazier History Museum, and the Kentucky Derby Museum. Each one of these places is both entertaining and educational.
The Newport Aquarium has over 70 exhibits. A few of these exhibits are Rain Forest, Ohio Riverbank, and Shark Central. This aquarium is an excellent place to go if one is interested in learning about the many interesting creatures of the sea. The Newport Aquarium is open every single day of the year. The Louisville Zoo is another awesome tourist attraction to visit while on vacation in Kentucky. Thousands of visitors visit the zoo each and every year. Three of the most well-known areas of the zoo are the Islands, Aquatics, and the Australian Outback. Mammoth Cave National Park is another definite must-see tourist attraction in Kentucky. This park, which is located in the central part of the state, is over 52,000 acres in size. It is a World Heritage Site and is run by the National Park Service.
Frazier History Museum is another awesome place to visit in Kentucky. This museum displays artifacts from both the United States and the United Kingdom. The majority of the artifacts are arms and armor. The Frazier History Museum, which is located in the downtown area of Louisville, is frequently visited by enthusiastic travelers. The Kentucky Derby Museum is another large Kentucky museum. This museum has several exhibits related to the history of the Kentucky Derby. Because there are so many interesting things to do in Kentucky, it is a wonderful state in which to travel.
